KayDay joins a group of handpicked, determined, and talented underground hip hop artists from all over the world for the compilation mixtape The Empire Squad. On Halloween of 2017 his single Blackout (as-well as 2 other songs) appeared on the mixtape serie's first issue alongside Cryptic Wisdom, 1Hunnit00 Money Jones, Red Pill, & Beware among others.
After being well received (mainly in the Midwest and New York) the mixtape series returned on Christmas Eve with The Empire Squad 2 which saw KayDay return as well as many others from the first mixtape. Initially this mixtape gained notoriety for featuring brand new music from viral icon Tekashi 6ix 9ine.
